Boeschen Vineyards’ flagship wine is a very limited bottling of Cabernet Sauvignon made exclusively from estate-grown fruit. This wine is crafted in an Old-World style, seeking balance and complexity, and blended with small amounts of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The wine is aged 18 months in French oak and then one additional year in the bottle. Only the highest quality grapes are chosen for Boeschen Vineyards wine, and even then only the best lots of young barreled wine are selected for final bottling. Our first vintage, the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon, is showing the promise that we hoped for when we made the decision to produce our own wine. The hillside Cab blocks are providing strength and structure, while the “blenders” of Merlot, Cab Franc and Petit Verdot are giving us layers of complexity and balance. We are very excited to share the final product now that the wine has been released. Due to limited quantity, the initial Boeschen Vineyards vintage is offered on a first-come, first-served allocation basis, as availability allows.
